We are pleased to confirm that the testing programme announced in October is now underway in Glasgow at the Strathclyde wave tank. The results obtained will be verified by our consultants, Wave-Venture, who will be in attendance.
Our focus is on the cost of energy and these tests will assist us in arriving at a Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE). Previous tank tests in both Glasgow and Cork have evidenced the excellent survivability characteristics of the device. We have thrown the most extreme wave climates at Anaconda and the results further confirm that distensible materials hold properties that ideally suit them to converting energy from ocean waves.
