Anaconda Update: January 2024

The exhaustive testing that has taken place over the last 3 years has allowed us to refine the
Anaconda bulge wave technology; independent consultants appointed to oversee the testing, Wave
Venture Ltd, have now confirmed that the latest iteration has reduced the cost of the tube
significantly.

Still using bulge waves to excite the water inside the tube, this novel development utilising
additional technology has been called the ‘Lobe Tendon Anaconda’. It is much more efficient in
generating energy and the overall weight of the tube has been reduced by more than 70%.
Testing continues at the Kelvin Hydrodynamics Laboratory at Strathclyde University in Glasgow in
the wave tank and the results continue to impress.

Current testing is being carried out at 1/25th scale and uses the same wave climate as all previous
tests. The data we have accumulated is thus comparable as we tune the characteristics of the new
design.

The Anaconda Lobe Tendon invention and development is subject to extensive IP protection and a
new PCT application was filed last year.

We would like to record our thanks to the team at Checkmate Flexible Engineering for their
support in manufacturing the tubes and to Wave-Venture our advising consultants to the project

We look forward to sharing more information during 2024 as the testing accelerates into 1/12th
scale.
